Members of the Northern Rivers Young Farmers Alliance recently undertook the role of hosting the annual Deep Winter Agrarians conference in Bangalow which brought together over 250 small-scale and sustainable farmers from all over Australia for a 3 day convergence of sharing, inspiration and solidarity.

Starting with a tour of local farms including The Farm in Byron Bay, Boonluck Farm, Future Feeders and the Mullumbimby Community Gardens and LifeForce Organics, followed by two days of intense networking and farmer-to-farmer round table conversations : from Food Sovereignty, young farmers, certification and more.
